This study investigates the lubricating effects of cocoa butter and coconut oil as natural alternatives to magnesium stearate in conventional paracetamol tablet formulations. The researchers prepared tablet formulations containing different concentrations of the lubricants and evaluated their physicochemical properties, granule flow characteristics, weight variation, hardness, friability, disintegration, and dissolution. The findings showed that cocoa butter and coconut oil at concentrations of 2–4% demonstrated effective lubricating properties and produced tablets with acceptable quality characteristics. The study concludes that these readily available natural oils have potential as alternative lubricants in pharmaceutical tablet manufacturing.en_US
